Product care 

While wear and tear are bound to happen, especially when the gear is used daily with our dogs, we have some tips for helping to keep your gear in a functional and clean condition. Adequate care can help extend the lifetime of your product, helping to avoid the need for you to buy a replacement.

All of our products are designed for hand wash only in lukewarm water. We recommend using a gentle dog shampoo or pet-safe cleaning product to clean our products as they will be in contact with your dog. Many laundry detergents can cause skin irritation and be too harsh on the fabric which will lower the product's life.

Our products cannot be tumble dried or ironed and we do not recommend hanging them over heat sources as this is likely to damage the product. 

Our products are water resistant only. If the product gets wet leave it to air dry in a well ventilated area. 

If the embroidery on our products gets caught on something, it may begin to undo. If this happens take the item off your dog immediately and use a heat source, such as a lighter to melt the section of thread that is undoing. This will prevent further unravelling. When using the heat source be careful to not melt the fabric, use sweeping motions to ensure that the section you are bonding together does not get too hot and damage the product. 

Our products are alway supplied with excess straps to allow for mistakes with the measurement process,allow for seasonal coat changes or for those clients that like to wrap their pups up in the winter. If you find the excess strap troublesome you can either use a hair band to tie the strap back if your dog is still growing or you can take your scissors and snip as much as you need off. Once you have done this use a lighter to gently burn the end to prevent fraying. Do not put the item back on your dog until it has completely cooled.

When our products are not in use they must be kept out of your dog's reach. Many dogs associate their gear with going out and may be tempted to grab the gear. This may cause punctures or tears in the products.
